Hey, check this out..
News Release for iPhone 5
It's ok, I'll wait.
Yeah, you were just RickRolled. An internet phenomenon from early 2008, RickRolling was the act of posting misleading links, seemingly relevant to discussions and threads. Instead, these links were directed to the YouTube clip of Rick Astley's video for his hit 1987 song, "Never Gonna Give You Up". The first RickRoll appeared on the imageboard website, 4chan.org and quickly spread across the internet, eventually catching the attention of Astley, himself, who found the phenomenon "bizarre and funny". RickRolling reached it's peak later in 2008, when Rick Rolled the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The question here is this: Is Rick Astley even allowed to RickRoll? Doesn't it take away from the bizarreness of it when Rick himself does it? I think it would.
Long thought dead, the sensation has made something of a comeback, helped out in part by Toronto radio host, Josie Dye of 102.1 the edge, who has recently taken to posting RickRolls via her Twitter page.
